STACY GAYLORD - GRADUATE TRAINEE 

I joined the Bibby Financial Services Graduate Careers Program at Bibby in Chicago in June 2006, right after graduating from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. The program is unique in that it offers the chance to work in each department and explore all parts of the business for a full year. Right now I am working as an account executive in the operations department. Soon I will switch to sales and marketing, then underwriting, and finally accounting. Lastly, the company will send me and the other graduates for two months of training in the UK. I’m excited to live and work in the UK and I am also really enjoying my time here in the Chicago office.

The management monitors each graduate trainee and assigns us projects based on our likes, dislikes, and background. This special attention makes the workday more fulfilling and drives our experiences in the directions each individual wants to pursue. For instance, during college I studied English and advertising and took an internship in marketing. I expressed my interest in these areas and my managers took this seriously. I have already been given the chance to work on projects for the marketing department even though I am still training in the operations side. 

Between the exposure to all parts of the company, the guidance from the management and the trip to the UK, this program is a great option for new graduates. Bibby is a supportive company that enables its employees by allowing time to explore the industry the freedom to create our own career paths.

LAURA LEIBOWITZ - CONTROLLER 

I joined Bibby Financial Services in October of 2003. I have been part of the team since day one of operation as I was working for the company that Bibby acquired.

I started my career with Bibby as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper. My job has evolved and expanded and I now hold the position of Controller. I love the challenges and excitement that each day brings.

Bibby is a wonderful company to work for.  We have a great staff here and the management team is the best.  They give us the freedom to do our jobs well but are always there to lend a hand and support us when needed.

KRISTINA MADSEN - CLIENT MANAGER

Prior to joining Bibby Financial Services I worked as a sales manager for a local sporting goods retailer and waited tables on the side. I started as a credit controller for the first few months, and my abilities and skills were noticed instantly and acknowledged with a promotion to client manager. I’ve always enjoyed providing great customer service for whomever I work for; however, Bibby has by far made me feel the most valuable.

I love the team I work with and enjoy the responsibilities and tasks that come to us each day. I like the feeling of empowerment my position gives me as well as the freedom that I am given to make the decisions that I think are best for my clients.

I look forward to many more years of providing the best service I can for the company and our clients, and watching my own office in California continue to grow. 

AMY WARD - UNDERWRITING COORDINATOR 

After graduating from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, I began working in the receivables funding industry managing clients, verifying the collateral and processing our client's funding for them to grow their business.  A year into the position, Bibby Financial Services came into the picture as they acquired the portfolio and company that I had been working for. I worked closely with our clients and their customers and was given the chance to understand many different industries of business.   I became a Senior Account Executive, then after some time and move to a larger Bibby office I found myself working with credit and the underwriting of new business as Underwriting Coordinator. I now coordinate with our business development team and analyze results of due diligence in order to continue servicing new companies and increasing our portfolio.  Also, as new offices across the United States have opened I have visited them to assist in training. Each role that I have assumed within Bibby has provided me a stepping stone with valuable knowledge that I am ready to use when I approach that next "Bibby step".  

As a Bibby employee, I can vouch that we "Work Hard" but also "Play Hard" - there are always company sponsored social events and chances to bond with our colleagues outside of the workplace.   It is really a team atmosphere. Not many people in the workforce can say they are consistently challenged or enjoy their job, but I can.  I have been personally motivated to learn and move through the different positions of Bibby, but I would not have been able to do so if the management team had not recognized my strengths and utilized them to benefit the company in the best way. Bibby not only represents opportunity for our clients as they grow their companies, but also opportunity for their employees to grow professionally.

LISA HARVEY - MARKET DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

After graduating from university, I joined Bibby Financial Services as a Graduate Trainee Manager in 1998. I was attracted to Bibby due to the opportunities for career development and overseas travel. 

After completing the graduate scheme, I worked as a General Manager at the Head Office

in Banbury before relocating to Sydney to assist in the establishment of our Australian branch.  I now hold the position of Market Development Manager, which means I am responsible for evaluating new market opportunities.  This involves desktop research, attending international conferences and evaluating potential acquisition opportunities…never a dull moment!

Bibby Financial Services’ Graduate Scheme provided exposure to many areas of the business and enabled me to foster relationships with employees of all levels throughout the organisation.
